SeaDek is a safe and comfortable alternative to non-skid and carpet options currently on the market. It is made from closed cell PE/EVA foam.  We use the strongest adhesive by 3M.  It is an acrylic-based adhesive, it has a peel and stick application and is pressure sensitive. It is available in a variety of colour options and textures, is custom designed, templated and cut to fit your project.

As soon as you notice a spill (wine, fish blood, coffee, hot chocolate etc.), rinse with water ASAP. (salty or clear).  If you used salt water, make sure you rinse with clear water when you can.  If the spill had time to dry, here is what you can do…

Alternatively, soap and water with a soft to medium brush works well.

If you pressure wash, here is a tip:  If you can handle the pressure on your feet, SeaDek will handle it.

Do not use acid-based cleaners.

SeaDek’s will last you 10yrs + when well taken care of.
i.e.:  boat/area is covered when storing for winter, rinsed when you are done boating etc.

SeaDek does not absorb water so it dries quickly, making it an excellent replacement for carpet.

SeaDek is extremely stain resistant, however a few substances, such as fuel stabilizers, bird droppings, rust, and mustard can be problematic if not attended to in a timely manner. Prompt attention to these types of spills will ensure easy removal. (See ”How do I clean SeaDek?).

Many people use SeaDek to keep pets firmly planted on the boat, however SeaDek is made from PE/EVA blended foam materials, so if scratched or clawed at enough, the product will tear or rip. With this being said, SeaDek’s closed-cell material will not absorb water if punctured. SeaDek is not warranted against pet damage.

If you want us to design/install SeaDek for you:

1) We pre-measure the area or areas of your boat where you would like SeaDek installed and give you a rough quote.  We discuss color, texture, design and logos if applicable. If rough quote is accepted, we need a 30% deposit to go in and measure more precisely with our digitized ”Proliner measuring device”.

2)  We then turn this into a C.A.D. design/layout for your approval, along with a firm quote. (We require the layout and measurements to accurately calculate the amount of SeaDek sheets required).

2) Once approved by you,  we are now ready to order your custom SeaDek. PLEASE NOTE, once cut, the SeaDek template is only good for your boat so communication between both parties VERY important.

4) Our fabricator will custom cut your project on it’s state of the art CNC router tables and ship it to us.

5) We will then arrange an appointment to install it on your boat. Your new SeaDek is now complete and ready to use 24hrs after install.  Final payment is due the day of install.

Timing is typically 4-6 weeks from start to finish. During high season it can be more.  Weather can be a large factor as we can’t proline or install in rain, high winds or intall in temperatures lower than 12c.
